What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances made from stabilized hyaluronic acid that are injected under the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines and soften creases, or enhance facial contours. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occurring substance that is already found in our skin, keeping it plump and hydrated.

Acclaro uses FDA-approved dermal fillers from Restylane, Juvéderm and Teosyal in the treatment of the following indications:

• Loss of volume in Mid face – General aging, along with sudden weight-loss may cause the ligaments supporting the cheeks to lose elasticity, resulting in sagging. Dermal filler are used to counteract sagging temporarily, and give the appearance of a natural-looking uplifted visage.

• Chin – Dermal fillers are injected into the chin area to create more definition or to create a more proportional visage.

• Laugh Lines or Nasolabial Folds – Helps to alleviate the appearance of laugh lines by providing a temporary skin lifting and smoothing effect along the nasolabial folds.
