About hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a water-loving substance that occurs naturally in everyone’s body. It has many functions, one of which is maintaining hydration levels in the skin. To do this, it attracts and binds water molecules in the skin, thus giving it its firmness, elasticity and radiance. However, as we age, our HA quality diminishes. This can result in dull, dry skin.

How do Restylane Skinboosters™ work?

Restylane Skinboosters™ work from the inside out to replenish the body’s natural reserves of HA.  

Each treatment involves a series of hydrating microinjections of long-lasting hyaluronic acid, also called stabilised HA, a water-loving substance found naturally in the body that maintains hydration in the skin.

Stabilised HA is a soft, gel-like substance that absorbs water and brings deep skin hydration to the treated areas, giving it improved firmness, elasticity and smoothness.

Treatment program

For optimal results, a typical treatment program with Restylane Skinboosters™ is made up of three initial treatment sessions with 2 to 4 weeks apart.

The initial 3-treatment program is done once and one maintenance treatment approximately every 6 months is recommended.
